Our Story

Fajas Kataleya evolved through demand — not by chance.

The business began by selling high-compression garments from the back of Irma Mendivil's home. Word spread quickly as women searched for real compression and structured support. As demand increased, the operation moved to the Tanque Verde Swap Meet, where direct customer interaction revealed something critical: women wanted more than a garment. They wanted education, professional fittings, and guidance on proper compression.

Consistent growth at the swap meet validated the opportunity. From there, Fajas Kataleya expanded into a full retail store, creating a specialized space focused on professional fittings, authentic high-compression garments, post-surgical and daily wear solutions, and confidence through structure and support.

The brand earned its retail presence step by step by responding to customer demand at every stage.

Meet the Founder Irma Mendivil

Irma Mendivil's connection to compression began at age 21 after a serious car accident resulted in a back injury. Structured corsets and compression garments provided essential physical support and helped restore confidence during recovery.

Years later, while visiting the LA Fashion District with her mother, she came across latex waist trainers available at a strong bulk opportunity. After testing the market in Los Angeles and later introducing the products in Tucson, the response was immediate.

The rapid sales confirmed that women were not simply looking for shapewear — they were looking for real support, expert guidance, and measurable results. What began as a small test became a specialized retail store built around education, precision fit, and transformation.
